I am a former film and television technician who, after spending more than 15 years away from home, returned and embarked on a new adventure.
I immersed myself in the study of viticulture, becoming passionate about this discipline, and decided to cultivate the great passion that my father, a true winemaker at heart, passed on to me since I was young.
With his valuable help and teachings, I took over the family land inherited from my great-grandparents and decided to revive our family's winemaking tradition.
My company is a small family-run business that extends over an area of 8 hectares. Less than 2 hectares are dedicated to vine cultivation, while we also have some olive trees and the rest of the land is used for sowing various plant species that are also used as ground cover in the vineyards. We manage the land ethically to preserve its biodiversity. We limit the use of machinery to just one soil tillage per year, while the rest of the operations are carried out manually. Even the phytosanitary treatments for plant protection are performed manually, using only ventilated sulfur and a small amount of copper sulfur, the latter used very sparingly. In the cellar, I avoid the use of selected yeasts, do not carry out clarification processes, and use very low amounts of sulfites.

RED
ROSÉ
JURU - Red wine obtained from Gaglioppo grapes and other native varieties.
MEL - Rosé wine obtained from the white vinification of Gaglioppo grapes

My company is located in the Melissa region, an area that became sadly famous in Italy and around the world for the victims of the peasant struggles of 1949. The town is situated on hills overlooking the Ionian Sea and reaches an altitude of 500 meters. Much of the territory falls under the CIRO' controlled designation of origin (DOC), but we also have our own specific DOC called "MELISSA," which highlights the great vocation of this area. The soils are mainly clay-based and most of the vineyards are cultivated using the bush vine system.
