The Territory
Our company is located in the region of Melissa, an area that has unfortunately become famous in Italy and around the world
for the victims of the peasant struggles of 1949. The town is situated on hills overlooking the Ionian Sea and
reaches an altitude of 500 meters. Much of the territory falls under the controlled designation of origin
(DOC) CIRO', but we also have our own specific DOC called "MELISSA", which highlights the
great vocation of this area. The soils are mainly clayey and most of the vineyards are
mainly cultivated as bush vines.
